Last year I was sent a picture of an old photograph that was found in an antiques shop.
The photograph was taken within the crypt of the Church of St Wystan, located in Repton. Slumped in the photograph is what appears to look like a hooded figure.
The photographer unknown and the date it was taken unknown.

Obviously, it’s hard to tell the photographs age, and it’s hard to truly know if the ghostly figure had purposely been added in or not. However, with every ghost photograph ever taken, its authenticity is always up for debate whether it’s real or not. The only person who truly knows is the person who has taken the photograph.
Surely, if it was real, the photographer would have gone public about it? Having captured a real ghost? But then again, maybe not, as it was taken in a church, which many would frown upon to even suggest a ghost would be haunting a church, or maybe the photographer did not want to be in the firing line for debunkers to come along and call them a fake?
If it is a fake, maybe the photographer was just illustrating through his work one of the many hauntings attached to the church. The church and its graveyard have had many sightings of ghostly hooded figures being seen by visitors, which many visitors have reported to look like monks.
Historians claim the site of the church was previously occupied by the Old Saxon Abbey, with a secret passage leading to Anchor Church nearly three miles away, which is also allegedly haunted by a monk!
Anyways, I thought I’d share it with you as potentially it could be a genuine photograph of a ghost, I will leave it with you to decide if you think it is real or a fake!
