2nd story: the Company’s total lack of care and respect for their Security Officer who had been attacked while doing security for THEIR property tells me they have Secrets they don’t want out. The first story about the intruder calling the narrator’s nickname is terrifying. It reminds me of a time my older sister was home alone. She heard a noise downstairs and went to check it out. As she got to the bottom of the stairs, she heard a man’s voice whisper her name from the living room. It wasn’t our dad’s voice. She didn’t even hesitate; she just turned and ran back upstairs, locked herself in her room, and climbed out her window onto the porch roof. The police found the back door wide open, but no one was inside. The fact that the intruder knew her name is what has always stayed with her. It’s a violation on a completely different level than a random break-in.
